Kaiyodo 2005 Enoshima Aquarium Set 2 04 Clark's anemonefish (Amphiprion clarkii) in what is likely meant to represent a Mertens' carpet sea anemone (Stichodactyla mertensii). For reasons unknown, Clark's anemonefish living in symbiosis with this species of sea anemone are known to turn melanistic, which this figurine's colourway suggests. Clark's anemonefish exhibit the widest colour variation within anemonefish. They are all born male, with some fish turning female as they age.
